Pour-over (V60, Chemex, Kalita, etc.) coffee recipe

Brew awesome coffee in a V60, Chemex, Kalita, or any other pour over brewer.

  1. Heat water to 93 ˚C.

    (If your kettle doesn’t have a temperature setting, let the water cool down for 30 seconds before brewing coffee.)

  2. Grind 12 g of coffee (medium-coarse grind, 18 on Baratza Encore).

    (It’s roughly 2.5 tablespoons of coffee beans or 6 tablespoons of ground coffee.)

  3. Rinse the filter, and discard the dirty water.

  4. Pour 50 g of water.

  5. Shake the thing. Wait 40 seconds.

  6. Pour 50 g of water. Wait 10 seconds.

  7. Pour 50 g of water. Wait 10 seconds.

  8. Pour 50 g of water.

  9. Shake the thing.

  10. Enjoy your coffee! ☕️
