Tacohuaco

If you have a retired iceberg salad at the back of your fridge that’s too old for an actual salad, in 10 minutes you could make a nice snack. Works great with charred red sauce, but could be served with any other sauce you have: pesto, or even a salad dressing.

Ingredients

Yields 1 portion

  1. iceberg salad
    as much as you have
  2. salt
  3. sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Remove the root from the iceberg and cut the iceberg into 2 cm slices, discard the root.
  2. Char both sides on a pan without adding oil, on medium-high heat, until softened and burned a bit.
  3. Serve with salt, sesame seeds, and any sauce you have.
